I don’t have UHC hospice claims. But, I would seek help from higher source in your organization. They are incredibly wrong and you are right.

Good morning!
I am reaching out to see if any of you are having trouble with billing your Hospice claims to UHC. We have gone through our payer representative, and
they continue to now tell us that we need to bill our Hospice claims like we do Home care. Which make no sense. They are saying we need to bill a penny: 0.01 with the Q5001 line.
In our rebuttal, UHC wrote back: ‘the logic shared references BOTH homecare and hospice. Additionally the claims are billing Revenue Code 651 which
states: Revenue Codes 651 Routine home care.”
We have tried to explain we bill differently for homecare and hospice, but they aren’t listening.
Any feedback from any of you, would be so appreciated!
Thank you!
