Not sure how that should be handled. That would need some research, as I am wondering if the HH Agency should be responsible or not?

Wondering if someone has some info on this.
The Pure Wick System- an external catheter system for incontinence for women. The supplies are not covered by Medicare when a client is at home and not in a HH episode. It is OOP expense, apparently a few Medicare Adv plans will cover
the supplies.
When in a HH episode with Medicare as the payer, we the HH provider, are being expected to cover the supply costs. It is a $439.99 expense in a 60-day episode-if I was able to buy the supplies directly from Liberator who sells these, but
they won’t sell to me directly, only clients.
Why would HH have to cover the supplies if Medicare won’t cover these supplies any other time?
This doesn't make sense to me, hoping you can help!
