We do the same, private pay if we are not able to direct bill the LTC carrier, but if we are able to set up direct billing we will do that also. Research up front helps, as
there are so many different plan options.

The way we manage them here is we set up the client on private pay. They are the responsible billing party. Each month with client’s release consent, we will send the LTC any requested information along with
a copy of the client’s claim. They will process the claims and reimburse the client. This is the way we feel works best as there is no guarantee of payment from LTC companies.
