UCare has been a nightmare! All of my claims (except for 1 client) are sitting in pending status since January. I am curious what you all use to transmit your claims. I have seen a few Trubridge and a few Availity. I currently use Availity,
but it doesn't always play nice with UCare. I am always looking for ways to improve my process.

We use Trubridge also for submitting claims, and so far most of my home care claims have not processed, our clinic and hospital are in the same boat with their UCare claims. ☹

I had the issue of getting them through a new vender so had to play with the payer id. So I realized the ones I had sent were not processing. I had literally checked every single claim in UCARE. Now I think all or at least 95% of mine are in process or paid. I was using Availity portal before Jan 1st but because our software is old, it keeps putting the 4 zeroes in admit date. SO I had to switch to Trubridge vendor so I could scrub those out of my claims. Availity has been a nightmare to get accurate reports from because they were sending on the same report for the same claim, accepted then also rejected. It was so confusing. I had to put work order in. But then it didn’t matter because I had to switch vendors. So, perhaps it is as simple as that… Iol I am guessing it depends on your software and vendor.

I was on the phone with them for over an hour today. We have had issues billing our services from Jan forward. We use their portal to see our claims and nothing was showing up there but our claims were saying they were transmitted and accepted by payor. On today’s call they confirmed that my claim had been paid as of 4/4 but I still wasn’t able to see anything. We had to pull the EFT to show that the claim had been paid. Nothing else shows that the claim had even been processed.

I just looked at one person today and she has 3 claims from Jan-Feb that are pending with a paid amount but paid date is still 01/1/1900 and 3 claims from Feb-Mar that are pending and no paid amount or paid date. I hung up after 23 minutes on hold. I sent an email instead. Will see if that works. I have lots more I could check but won't waste my time. Last time I checked them all 2 weeks ago I had the same results and now there are even more claims that have dropped into the "old" bucket.
I don't feel very productive lately.

Is anyone else still having issues with getting paid for claims as of 1.1.2022? I have so many still in the PENDING status. I did email UCare and they stated that they have escalated the claims for review.
