If anything, they should only be requiring a NOA as of the 1st episode starting in 2022. That is how Medicare is doing it.

Hi,
Just got denials from United HealthCare for claims that span from Dec ending the 30 day period in January. They stated that a NOA was required for January service even if it’s part of a 30 day period beginning
in December. Anyone else having this issue? I didn’t even think UHC was requiring NOA’s yet.
