If they are wanting it to be “like Medicare” you will need to put the NOA as the first date of the episode as of 1.1.2022, Example: If your 30 day episode is from December 4, 2021 to January 2, 2022 your NOA date would be January 3, 2022.

So as I am reading this, do you all interpret this as we should put an admission date of 1/1/21 for all claims for services in January? Medicare asks us to do a fake Noe for any episodes that start after January 1st. However,
this BCBS bulletin says for any services that occur January 1st and forward. So if someone is on thirty day episode starting in December and ending mid January, do you think BCBS means to do a Noe at beginning of episode starting in January or
to do one for Jan 1st?
Oh good lord, I am so glad I have friends to chat about this with…. Lol…
