I bill them out through nightingale notes to MN DHS (Payer ID DPWMN), depending on what software you use, you should be able to bill it directly from there with the auth number and correct claim template to your clearinghouse

Wondering if anyone has or does bill a waiver directly? I have never heard of this but I'll give you the scenario I was approached with:
Case Manager calls with referral for a client that has Medica (we are not in network with Medica) and we declined
CM calls back stating that they want us to bill the AC waiver directly, that 'it doesn't go through Medica.'
I have never billed an AC waiver directly for services and CM stated that no this doesn't get billed through MA either?
Since my understanding of waivers and things are sub par, thought I would ask this wonderful group!! Thanks
Is this CM looking for another type of home care provider maybe?
