It's just the terminology I am getting hung up on.  When webinars are presented, they keep saying accepted when in reality it is received. 

I just don't want it to come back on me when payment is reduced and Medicare says "OH accepted meant paid date not date received".  

Really though you still have to check every day until it switches to paid to make sure it's not rejected.  Thank goodness we have Change Healthcare and I can just look there without having to go into DDE and look at each one individually.

If I send my No Payment RAP today (1/18/21) and Medicare receives it today.  But they do not finalize it until Friday (1/22/21).  They use the date they received it not the date they processed and finalized it.   So 1/18/21 would be the received date.

I know we can’t manually enter in on weekends but any idea if electronic files are being accepted?

 

We are getting our NPR to Medicare within 2 days of admission but they are not paying for 7 more days.

 

They are sitting in suspend for more than 5 days.

 

Does that mean they are not accepted until the day they are paid or the day they switch from suspend to paid?  

 

So I have to look every day in DDE to find out the day they switch from S to P?

 

I can’t find any documentation from NGS with a clear answer.
