This was the email I received.  Notice how the last two bullet points contradict.  Humana makes me nervous.  In one breath they say they do not require the RAP, the next they say to follow Medicare guidelines.

Our contract manager emailed that they do not want RAPs and written publication will be coming out soon.

Hello,

Just wondering if those of you who bill Humana like PDGM are thinking the way I am thinking?  We did have a contact person at Humana who got back to me in an email say that Humana would not require a RAP.  I just didn’t trust that.  I called Humana today and got three different people.  None of them knew anything about the penalty if a RAP was not submitted within 5 days.  I was just told that they do whatever Medicare does.  It’s a little discouraging when I cannot get an affirmative answer.  So, I am thinking that I need to follow the No Pay RAP rule for Humana that Medicare is doing.

Anyone else?

Marnie
