We have a quick meeting in the mornings to see what will be generic and what will be ready. For recerts, it shouldn’t be hard at all to get the actual  hipps but for admits, most likely the generic will be used. WE did not want to set a precedent yet for always using the generic until we have a better idea of how our work flow goes.

Hi,

Just reaching out to find out if your agencies are going to use default HIPPS codes for your RAPS.  We are having a discussing here, and I’m advocating for default HIPPS, but clinicians are thinking we need to generate accurate HIPPS for quality purposes.  Since the HIPPS codes will not have any impact on payment, I’m for default so the final will always match the RAP.

Any opinions would be appreciated.
