Subject: Insurance Question

Good morning all,

If a patient is coming out of the hospital and has Med A but also BCBS Medicaid, who do you bill? Would it be Medicare since they are coming out of the hospital? The BCBS verification I pull says to submit claims to the MA plan first? Thank you for any clarification you can provide. I am not an insurance or billing person, but trying to learn!!
