So you talk to UCare claims to find out #?

 

Do you understand the difference between UCare Medicare and UCare MSHO plans?  When looking up eligibility it says the same threshold that you gave me.

 

But when checking on one particular client who is UCare Medicare  that we had earlier this year Ucare is telling me she hasn’t used any therapy visits. We billed for therapy visits and gave her an example of dates.

 

Another client is UCare MSHO but UCare is telling me her therapy threshold  has been used.

Also can you provide the Magellan site where I can get form?

You need to call Ucare to find out how many visit have been used for the year.  They get 20 pt, 20 ot and 30 st,  these are also shared with out-patient services so you need to call.  Ucare # is 612-676-3300.

It is then up to you to track the usage until the threshold has been exhausted.  Once that happens you need to request additional auth through Magellan either online or fax request form with documentation to  fax # 1-888-656-1952.  They will approve or deny and send it on to Ucare who will then notify you.    Hope this helps.

Can anybody provide information on process you use when over 20 therapy visits for UCare client and needing auth from Magellen?

 

How do you know when starting with client how many visits they have used already this calendar year?  Who do you contact to get that info?

 

When needing to work with Magellen do you just call there or is there form/site to submit information?

 

Appreciate  help if you have experience with this.
