It has long been our understanding that Medicare wants only what they consider as Nonroutine supplies to be reported on the claims. 

 

Here is some infomration from their online manuals.  It is a bit overwheleming trying to dig though them.  We are trying to streamline our process for this.

What do you mean by non routine? We enter the wound care supplies or general supplies but we have to figure them out by the supplies used. And the cost of them.

I am wondering if someone knows where on CMS or NGS that I can find the nonroutine supply charges that can be entered on a Medicare claim?  I have searched and searched but cannot find it.
