Optum is PDGM. I am not clear on whether for both skilled and non skilled or just skilled. I am finding out Triwest was supposed  to be skilled only. IDK. They can’t figure it out.

Another thing I am wondering- if anyone knows- is that VA changing to Optum will be for both Skilled and Unskilled I understand.  Does anyone know how the claims will be under Optum?  Per visit, PPS or PDGM and if PPS or PDGM, will that include the unskilled in the same episode payment?

Always something!

Linda

We have not made any decisions yet.  We have recently noticed the drastic cut in reimbursement from the VA as well.  When I look at the Fee Schedule on the Optum website, the rates match the decrease we have begun to see from the VA.   So I am a little confused.  Are these VA rates on the Fee Schedule or the Optum rates, or are they the same rates for both VA & Optum?

Can anyone tell me what you as a Homecare Agency is planning to do about the decrease in VA payments? We are looking at maybe no longer taking VA patients

In the Optum/VA portal, the fee schedule is under the tab for documents and links

Yes, we are getting paid drastically less as well! However, when I call the VA they don’t seem to know much. Where did you see the fee schedule from Optum as I can’t find that?

Has anyone experience the drastic pay cut on the aide/homemaking with VA since Oct 1st?  I see the Optum fee schedule on that website is very poor also, but I heard that the VA was taking money back retro to Oct 1st if they had paid you at the higher rate from their previous fiscal year.

With Tri West, only the Skilled visits were billed, the HHA and HMKR still went to the VA.  Does anyone know if all visits will be going to Optum or just the Skilled visits?

Thank you,

Marnie

Good morning all – well, according to the website, next Wednesday, 2/19, is the official “switch to Optum” day in Minnesota for VA claims.  Are you ready?  I’m hearing varied responses as I chat with members around the state.

I wanted to be sure you know about this website:

https://provider.vacommunitycare.com/tpa-ap-web/?navDeepDive=VACCN%20publicProviderHomeDefaultContent

I suspect you do, but on the off chance that some might not have seen it, I thought I’d share.

Please report in as you make the switch to let us know how it’s going -

Thanks, and good luck!
