Recently I have had new patients whose claims I bill as a 322 and even a discharged patient that I billed as a 324 deny for TOB.  So I had to resubmitted them as a 323.

Hello, have you called the community care center to find out if the claim really should have been denied? I have had many claims denied and found that when I have called the person helping me will attach notes to the claim and let the processors know to review the claim again because the claim should have been paid and not denied.

 

I personally saw this as a denial on some of mine as well but have not called yet. I am going to try to do that this week to see if they have an answer for me. I use TOB: 329.

Is anyone else having trouble getting paid from regular VA, not Tri-west, claims?  All of the sudden I’ve been getting denied for my Type of bill (TOB) being incorrect after how many years of billing the same way.  What TOB do you use for your Home Health Aide/Respite claims?  Thank you.
